I have put 400 plus rounds threw the gun in a 2 weeks time. I have had only one problem with it and that was not ejecting the spent case.

Ive put around 1520 rounds through this weapon since I have had it. At first I had a problem with it not ejecting the spent case, but after changing my hand position and my grip.(holding it very firmly with locked arms) the problem was gone...These weapons do not like weak wrists is the only downfall.

I have owned this gun for around 5 months now and have ran aprox 700-800 rounds of mostly FMJ of differing brands through it. I love it, the ONLY problem I have had was while shooting the cheap winchester rounds. I had 3 or 4 fail to ejects with that ammo but no other problems. I am just learing how to be fairly accurate with shooting a handgun, this is the first handgun I have ever owned! I recently put the Hogue wrap around grip with finger grooves on it and WOW what a difference it made. I shot it tonight and punched a nice 1 hole in the target from about 20yds. Not great by hot shot standards but really good for me! I love this gun, everyone who has handled it loves how it feels and shoots. I shoot with guys who have shot .45''s for years and can out shoot them with only 5 months experience ]I have done ALOT of shooting with rifles and shotguns so I''m not new to shooting[ but a handgun is a whole nother story. I attribute alot of this to the gun! Great gun for a great price, if your considering buying this gun just pull the trigger! you wont be sorry.

Hey guys i just want yall to know my experience with this gun. Over the years i have had alot of opportunities to shoot many different types of 1911''s from Colt to Kimber. I have to say that after purchasing the Taurus PT1911 AR and 3,000 rounds later, I have absolutely no complaints. It shoots like a dream and is super accurate. I have fed it everything from cheap Tul, Wolf, and American Eagle ammo to the high end home defense rounds like the Remington Golden Sabre and the Winchester PDX 1. It will cycle anything and everything you feed it and it operates in all conditions. So far it has not had a single jam. The more i shoot it the more i love it so i highly recommend this pistol to anyone who wants a reliable and inexpensive 1911. Thanks

I have had my 1911 for about 4 months now. I absolutely love this pistol. I am no great shot, but out of the box I was shooting 4 inch groups at 25 yards offhand. At 60 yards I am able to put all my shoots on an 18X18 target offhand. Not bad for a handgun. On a good, I have grouping where the holes in the target are touching for most of the shots. Not bad for someone who is at best a fair shot. I have had no failure to feed issues or eject in ball ammo but when the magazines where new, I had failure to feed with hollow point ammo. Currently the hollow point ammo is working well in the gun. Great gun with good out of the box accuracy and reliability.

IVE BEEN IN PRACTICAL PISTOL SINCE THE LATE 70S AND HAVE ACQUIRED NUMEROUS .45CAL PISTOLS IN THE 1911GOVT MODEL FROM THE ORIGINAL 1911 ]C7528[COLT TO THE LATEST ONE WHICH, I OWN NOW..A TAURUS PT1911SS ]***17027[
IVE HAD THE GOLDCUP TOO, HOWEVER AFTER HAVING ACQUIRED THIS TAURUS FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS, I HAVE CHANGED MY OUTLOOK ON THE PREVIOUS 45S... WITH JUST A LESS THAN A HUNDRED ROUNDS BREAKINN]COMPARED TO OTHERS 500 OR MORE[IT WENT THROUGH A 1 GROUPINGS AT 25 YARDS ON PLAIN COMFORTABLE ARMREST AND 1-1/2 OFF HAND AT 25 YARDS FIRING AT 3 SECONDS INTERVAL IN AN INDOOR FIRING RANGE.
THE ONLY PARTS I CHANGED WAS THE AMBIDEX TUMB SAFTETY TO A WILSON EXTENDED NON-AMBIDEX SAFETY AND THE GRIPS TO HOGUE, PACYMYR AND PEARL GRIPS FOR PRESENTATION PURPOSES.. I DID VERY WELL WITH THE HOGUE RUBBER WRAP-AROUND GRIPS, WHICH I CARRY NOW, AND SLEEP WITH IT UNDER MY PILLOW WITH THE EXTENDED CHIP MCORMICK POWER 10 MAG WITH 9 REMINGTON SABER HOLLOW POINT ROUNDS.....
TO TAURUSUSA AND TAURUS BRAZIL.. JOB WELL DONE AND KEEP IT UP...

I love this 1911, I have this one as well as one with out the rail. The AR ]this one[ I have well over 6000 rounds through. I have carried it off and on for 3 years. I also have a Colt 1911 combat commender Model 7 and this gun is more comfortable to shoot, as well as groups better than the colt. The only aftermarket addition Ive made to my Taurus 1911s are the Wilson Combat shock buffs. These will improve your groupings on double taps.

As of writing this review I havent even owned this gun for 24 hours yet but I already LOVE it. I have only been able to shoot it once so far. I ran 3 clips through it with a mix of FMJ and JHP and it worked flawless. By the time I got done stripping it down and giving it a solid cleaning and reassemble it was already dark but I just had to shoot it. The only target I had was a 4 inch tree limb that I could see from my flood light about 20yds away. This baby tore that limb to pieces! I have never owned a handgun myself but have shot them a few times,]I usually shoot shotgun or rifle[. I was shocked at how accurate it was right out of the box and IN THE DARK. Its a solid gun and for all the extra custom features its a great deal also. I read hundreds of reviews on this gun and I couldnt find a single one that the person didnt rave about this gun and I am no different. I HIGHLY recommend this gun to anyone looking at buying a 1911.

I had problems with the ramp. The live rounds were eating the side of the barrel and the side of the ramp. What causes this and how can I fix it. I took it back to where I got it and they weren''t much help to me.
