I went to the range to try out my new XD40 with the intention of firing only 50 rounds to see if it worked as advertized. I own thirteen pistols and am a very avid shooter. This pistol seemed to become a part of my hand and performed flawlessly! I enjoyed shooting it more than any other pistol and wound up firing it 150 times, and even then did not want to stop. I only wish I had fired a Springfield before buying the other brands of pistols that I own. If I had, I would probably have at least one of every model pistol that Sprigfield makes. Now I am stuck with twelve pistols that I probably won''t fire very often because of the XD40. After shooting, the tear down and cleaning were a snap due to the ease of disassembly and assembly of the pistol. A great weapon!!
