Taurus International
In 1980, Taurus International purchased the Beretta factory in Sao Paulo, Brazil. In this purchase they acquired all the equipment, staff, and designs necessary to manufacture a number of firearms, most notably the famous Beretta 92. Starting with the original design, Taurus improved on it immensely, resulting in the Taurus PT-92 Pistol. These additions include a drop hammer forged ordnance grade alloy frame for increased strength and a three-position frame-mounted ambidextrous safety. Overall, the Taurus PT-92 is an excellent pistol necessary for these modern times.

I had a PT-92 that I made the mistake of trading in for a Springfield XD 9mm. I changed to the Springfield mainly because of the grip and trigger safeties, but was that ever a mistake. I am very unhappy with the feel of the weapon, and am no where near as accurate with it as I was the Taurus. I prefer the double action trigger pull of the Taurus as well, along with the ability to chamber a round then decock the hammer. Over all The PT-92 is my favorite handgun, and am hoping to replace my old one ASAP!

I was on active duty when we ''retired'' the 1911 and subsequently were issued the M9, namely the Beretta 92F and 92FS. After retirement, I wanted a ''plinker'' and opted for the Taurus PT92. OUTSTANDING! This weapon is not only durable, mine was ''out of the box'' dead on aCCurate. It has remained that way ever since. It has become my CC weapon of choice. Yes, there are MANY ways in which to CC a large frame hand gun, those who know know. Anyway, I have lost count of the number of rounds put through the PT92, but I will always remember its aCCuracy. Light recoil, aCCeptable climb and ]can''t mention it enough[ - outstanding aCCuracy. I did notice after the very first round, that I needed to adjust my aim a bit lower. ]Could be from my being used to the M9[ but this was corrected after that very first shot. I have since purchased one for my wife, four for buds upon their retirement from Active Duty. ALL have had nothing but good to say about this weapon. Also, I advised each to adjust their aim as I did. Each, with the exception of my wife, found this to be helpful. My wife, he was shooting the ''heart'' out of target with the first squeeze of the trigger. Again, this could be due my friends and myself having been trained on military issue weapons, whereas, my wife never having fired ]ya right[ a military issued weapon before or at any lengthy period. All in all well worth the money and will provide years of enjoyment of your Constitutional Rights.
